Here are the library hours during Thanksgiving break:

Wednesday November 25: 8:30am - 5:00pm (no classes today)
Thursday, November 26: CLOSED
Friday, November 27: CLOSED
Saturday, November 28: 10:00am - 5:00pm
Sunday, November 29: opens 10:00am; back to 24 hour schedule

Cite it Right! Plagiarism prevention workshop 11/20/09, 12-1pm

Join librarian Cathy Perkins for a hands-on workshop and open discussion about Plagiarism; what it is, how to avoid it.
Workshop will be held in the library smartlab (lower level) on Friday 11/20/09 from 12:00 - 1:00pm.

Cite it Right! Workshop 10/1/2009 4:30-5:30pm

Join librarian Cathy Perkins for a hands-on workshop on how to properly cite your sources and give credit where credit is due. We will test your plagiarism-avoidance skills and discuss the pitfalls of common knowledge and paraphrasing.
Workshop to be held in the Library SmartLab (on the Lower Level) on Thursday, October 1, 2009, from 4:30-5:30pm.

Complete a survey, win a Barnes and Noble gift card

The library is conducting a survey to gauge preferences for a planned renovation. One participant will receive a $25 Barnes and Noble gift card. Surveys can be picked up at the main desk. Survey runs until October 11, 2009. The winner will be contacted by email. Good luck!

Reunion Weekend Events

The Horrmann Library is happy to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Class of '59! We hope that you will join us here during Reunion Weekend.

The following Reunion events are to be held in the library:

June 3 - June 8 : Spotlight Gallery Exhibit- "Fifties Reflections: An Homage to the Class of 1959"
We found some fabulous photos in the archive that we want to share with you. If you recognize any of the students/staff in the photos, please use the cards on the display table to let us know who they are! Special thanks to Lee Manchester for designing and installing the exhibit!
